In 2017, donors in our community came together to build
a hospice house that specializes in end-of-life care while making every
moment count. This year, we commemorate the five-year anniversary
of Evelyn's House. Join us in the celebration!

BJC Hospice

Compassionate end-of-life care

At BJC Hospice, we feel it’s our calling to help patients and their families embrace every moment. Through compassionate care, we provide a circle of support that’s centered on comfort, quality of life and the individual needs of each patient and family we serve.

Hospice gives each terminally ill patient the opportunity to live their life among those they love. It’s treatment with the goal of managing pain, providing comfort and offering support when seeking a cure is no longer an option.

We care for patients of all ages. Adult and pediatric hospice patients have access to options for end-of-life care. Whether adults, teens, children or infants, our focus is on maximizing love and comfort, while minimizing pain, fear and uncertainty for everyone.

BJC Hospice recognizes that pediatric hospice care is unique from adult care. Wings, the BJC pediatric hospice and palliative care program, provides resources that allow children and their families to live each day to the fullest. Evelyn’s House – our 16-bed hospice house – also serves both adult and pediatric guests and their families.

Making the most of every moment is unique to every family, different for every person. Honoring those moments can be a meaningful and important step in saying goodbye. Whatever your journey may be, we’ll be by your side, helping you find joy in each moment and happiness in the time that remains, spent with the ones you love.

Dossie Randle, BJC Home Care and Hospice chaplain and case manager, coordinates the We Honor Veterans program, which recognizes and honors BJC home care, palliative care or hospice patients who have served in the military.

"Letting these patients know that their service has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated is simply another way BJC cares for patients."
