Four tall, bright and colorful birdhouses are spaced evenly across the backyard of Evelyn’s House for residents and their families to enjoy watching birds from the patio of their guest suite. 

Working with hospice patients is more than a job for nurse Diane McBroom – it’s a calling. And working in Evelyn’s House is a “blessing.” 

Frank Ginsberg didn’t have to think twice about how he’d spend his time after retiring from 43 years of owning his own business. The 86-year-old Korean War veteran has always loved woodworking. 

Ellen Carroll was wearing her pink nightgown when she left Evelyn’s House, just like her granddaughter had promised. It was a simple thing that made Carroll’s death a little more bearable for the family that adored her. 

BJC HealthCare celebrated the opening of Evelyn’s House with a ribbon cutting June 16, 2017. The new hospice house in Creve Coeur, Missouri, offers compassionate end-of-life care for adult and children hospice patients and their families.
